About the Role
Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Web Content Designer to join the Gwent Public Health Team. This role involves coordinating the development, maintenance, and improvement of public health websites and intranet platforms, including Gwent Public Health pages, Melo, and the Integrated Wellbeing Network sites.
The Web Content Designer will ensure digital platforms are accurate, engaging, and accessible, using technical skills to resolve issues, enhance usability, and support colleagues across the team and organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, execute, and maintain high-quality digital content for websites and intranet platforms
Collaborate with Communications, Intelligence, and Public Health teams to deliver innovative web pages and platforms
Provide training, guidance, and technical support to staff at all levels
Enhance user experience and digital engagement through creative solutions
Contribute to new projects to advance the Health Board’s digital content strategy
Troubleshoot and resolve web system issues efficiently
Qualifications & Knowledge
Essential:
Relevant degree (e.g., Marketing, Digital, Web Development)
Knowledge of web design, content development, and website management
Experience managing SharePoint server farms and external web servers
Practical experience with MURA, SharePoint, WordPress, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, graphics, and multimedia creation
Desirable:
Knowledge or experience with data scraping and Python

Extensive experience in website, intranet, and online system management
Experience planning and delivering training
Desirable:
Experience working within a health organisation
Skills & Attributes
Essential:
Ability to fix system problems under pressure
Strong organisational and workload prioritisation skills
Excellent written communication and attention to detail
Desirable:
Welsh language skills (understanding, speaking, reading, writing)
Ability to travel to other Health Board localities if required
Other Requirements
Able to work collaboratively with key stakeholders, particularly managers of intranet and internet pages
Subject to Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
Skilled Worker visa sponsorship available for eligible candidates
