Job is for female carer only

Have a full UK drivers license +access to car

Visa sponsorship can be available

Norwyn Community Services covers Kent areas such as: Canterbury, Faversham, Sittingbourne, Sheerness, Maidstone, Thanet, Medway and always looking to expand service to other areas as necessary

Previous care experience beneficial but full training and support will be given

Requirements of a Senior Carer

• A caring attitude
• The ability to work on your own initiative
• Good listening and communication skills
• The ability to understand and follow policies and procedures
• Good writing skills to complete care records
• Good team player
• Flexible
• Able to work in agreed ways
• Have access to personal car and UK driving experience

Responsibilities of a Senior Carer

• Helping service users meet personal care tasks
• Help with food and drink
• Help with medication
• Help with toileting needs
• Help with transfers using the service user equipment
• Help to maintain home environment
• Escorting to outings
• Refer to other professionals
• You must be able to follow care and support plans
• Offer care and support to various service user groups for example: adults, elderly, mental health, learning disability & autism, physical problems, medical problems etc
• Visit service users at home morning, lunch, tea and bed
• Start visits at 7am and work according to the visit schedule times
