Job Overview
Care Assistant – Dorchester
Apex Prime Care is recruiting Care Assistants in Dorchester to help transform social care by enabling more people to live longer, healthier, and happier lives in their own homes.
This role is ideal for kind, sociable individuals who enjoy making a real difference. No previous experience is required, as full training is provided.
Care Assistants will support clients across Dorchester, Crossways, Maiden Newton, Charminster, and surrounding areas.
Working Pattern
- Part-time and full-time positions available
- Flexible shifts including mornings, days, evenings, and nights
- Every other weekend off to support work-life balance
- Must work at least two evenings per week
- Must work alternate weekends
- Driving licence and access to a vehicle required
Key Responsibilities
Care Assistants will be responsible for:
- Personal care (washing, dressing, continence support)
- Medication management
- Meal preparation
- Domestic tasks
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Offering daily reassurance and improving quality of life
The most important part of the role is building meaningful relationships and supporting clients with dignity and care.
