Step into a dynamic role at the heart of a thriving professional services business in Birmingham City Centre! We’re on the lookout for a highly organised individual who takes pride in delivering exceptional reception, facilities, and administrative support.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be proficient in various computer applications, and demonstrate excellent organisational abilities. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of our organisation while developing valuable administrative skills.
This is a part-time and permanent role of 3 days a week in our clients glossy office, 8:30pm-5pm. This is on a salary of £32,000 which would be prorated for 3 days.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain office correspondence, including emails and phone calls, ensuring professional etiquette at all times
- Organise and schedule appointments, meetings, and events efficiently
- Perform data entry tasks accurately using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications
- Prepare and file documents, reports, and records in a systematic manner
- Assist with invoicing and bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Support team members with administrative duties such as photocopying, scanning, and filing
- Handle incoming enquiries promptly and courteously, providing excellent phone etiquette
- Maintain organised digital and physical filing systems to ensure easy retrieval of information
- Support other administrative functions as required to facilitate daily operations
Skills
- Proven office experience with a strong understanding of administrative procedures
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Calendar)
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is desirable
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Exceptional typing skills for efficient data entry and document preparation
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with professional phone etiquette
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work
- Previous clerical experience is advantageous but not essential for highly motivated candidates
