About You

Are you passionate about making a difference in people’s lives and looking for an opportunity to develop skills and experience? Lincolnshire County Council is looking for someone who wants to use skills and knowledge in a more creative and innovative way.

You will be an experienced and motivated social worker who is a team player and can offer support and supervision to colleagues as well as carrying a caseload of more complex cases. The ethos is to ensure customers are able to live independent lives and for those that need support, the right support package, in the right place, at the right time.

As a Social Worker you must hold a professional Social Work qualification e.g. DIPSW, CQSW, CETSW, CSS or BA Social Work and ensure that registration with Social Work England is up to date.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • Professional Social Work qualification e.g. DIPSW, CQSW, CETSW, CSS or BA Social Work with up-to-date Social Work England registration

  • Minimum of 2 years post qualification practice experience or 1 year post qualification experience (ASYE completed) together with 3 years experience at a similar level in a non-qualified role in a complex health and social care setting

Desirable

  • Ability to enable and support the professional development of colleagues through supervision and mentoring

  • Working knowledge of social work theory and its application to practice

  • Organisational and administrative skills necessary for managing a more complex caseload
