Job Summary

Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an experienced and motivated Digital Project Manager to deliver the Teletracking Bed Management project within Humber Health Partnership.

The successful candidate will work within the PMO, engaging with suppliers and stakeholders at all levels, supporting the delivery of the Trust’s objectives and Digital Strategy. NHS experience is preferred but not essential for the right candidate.

The role is based at Castle Hill Hospital in Cottingham, with travel across Humber Health Partnership sites as needed, including Hull, Scunthorpe, Grimsby, Goole, and associated community teams. Hybrid working is offered, combining onsite and remote work.

Main Duties

Communication

  • Engage effectively with project team and stakeholders (clinical and non-clinical), tailoring messages for different audiences.

  • Understand stakeholder needs, manage expectations, and define project goals, deliverables, and scope.

  • Support and direct the project team.

Management

  • Manage, monitor, and deliver the Teletracking Bed Management project according to Trust governance processes, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, scope, and quality standards.

  • Collaborate with IT colleagues to deliver technical requirements efficiently.

  • Ensure compliance with Information Governance, Cyber Security, and clinical safety requirements.

  • Manage and control any requests to change project scope.

  • Adapt to changes in the project environment, leading the team to maintain delivery standards.

  • Work with strong attention to detail.

Reporting

  • Produce accurate project reports, detailed plans, document and manage issues and risks, and escalate where necessary.

  • Keep the project board and PMO fully updated.

Person Specification

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree or equivalent experience

  • PRINCE2 or relevant project management qualification

  • Evidence of continual professional development

  • Ability to present information clearly and produce professional written reports

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills, including accurate records management

  • Skilled in MS Office applications, including MS Project

  • Self-motivated with the ability to organise and prioritise a complex workload with minimal supervision

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with colleagues at all levels

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • NHS project management experience

  • Knowledge of NHS system implementation

  • Experience planning large-scale communication events

Skills and Attributes

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • High level of interpersonal skills, empathy, and diplomacy

  • Ability to work onsite as required
