Job Summary
The East Community Hospital and Transfer of Care team at Lincolnshire County Council is offering a career opportunity for a Senior Social Worker (Level 2). This role is ideal for experienced social workers interested in working across both inpatient and community services.
This position provides a chance to support vulnerable residents, work with multi-disciplinary teams, and engage creatively with Adult Care services. The role involves working with Lincolnshire Community Health Services, bedded rehabilitation, the Home Based Reablement Service, and homecare Prime Providers.
Main Duties
Conduct assessments in line with the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act.
Support colleagues in Adult Social Care, including the safeguarding team, to ensure resident wellbeing.
Provide peer support and supervise non-qualified staff within the team.
Apply social work theory and demonstrate values that promote wellbeing, challenge oppression, and empower people to live well.
Maintain professional Social Work registration with Social Work England.
Qualifications & Training
Essential:
Professionally qualified Social Worker (DIPSW, CQSW, CETSW, CSS, or BA Social Work)
Registration with Social Work England
Post Graduate studies in related Social Work practice
Willingness to complete AMHP training if not already qualified
Post-qualification courses in Social Work practice
Completion of all statutory and mandatory training relevant to the role
Desirable:
Masters qualification in a relevant area to support service delivery
Additional Social Work qualifications (AMHP, BIA, Practice Educator)
Further study relevant to practice
Experience
Essential:
Minimum of 2 years post-qualification practice experience, or 1 year post-qualification experience (ASYE completed) plus 3 years at a similar level in a complex health and social care setting
Experience supporting service users, families, and carers
Ability to manage time and caseload effectively
Working in multi-disciplinary teams
Experience of negotiation, conflict management, and risk management principles
Supervising and developing students and staff members
Desirable:
Evidence of project work
Experience working in multi-disciplinary environments
