IT & Security Engineer (Sponsorship Available) At Solve Intelligence
Employer: Solve Intelligence
Job Title: IT & Security Engineer
Location: London, United Kingdom
Salary: £60,000 – £90,000 a year
Job Type: Full-time
About the Role
Do you want to build the IT and security infrastructure of one of the fastest-growing AI companies in Europe? Do you want to be the founding IT hire at a YC-backed startup with eight-figure ARR, working directly with the CTO to design the systems that will carry Solve from 40 to 200 people? Here’s your chance.
Solve Intelligence is looking for a hands-on IT and security professional to own everything: device management, user onboarding, compliance programmes, and customer-facing SSO configuration. You will be joining a lean, fast-moving team and building the internal infrastructure that lets Solve scale without breaking.
Responsibilities
You’ll be responsible for:
Owning internal IT operations
Device provisioning and management across a Mac fleet using Jamf
Google Workspace administration
SaaS access management, software licensing, and IT asset inventory
User onboarding and offboarding, end to end
Building security and compliance posture
ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type 2 programmes
Security policies, awareness, and audit processes
Security questionnaires from enterprise prospects
Ownership of compliance as a function, not just a checklist
Managing customer-facing SSO
Enterprise SSO setup and configuration (SAML/OIDC) for customers
Managing the technical back-and-forth with customer IT and security teams
Working with engineers to automate processes that are currently manual
Designing systems that scale
Building tooling, documentation, and workflows that make IT and security repeatable, auditable, and fast
Who You Are
Solve Intelligence is a small, exceptionally talented team building something ambitious. Every system run by Solve Intelligence needs to be as lean and well-designed as the product delivered to customers.
The ideal candidate works closely with the CTO and engineering team to make decisions, brings recommendations, and drives projects forward. The role requires someone who is hands-on with setting up laptops, troubleshooting issues, and managing software access.
The right candidate builds ahead of problems rather than reacting to them, follows compliance processes consistently, and is excited about building systems from scratch at a fast-growing company.
Who You’ll Work With
Angus (Chief Technology Officer and co-founder)
Angus completed an MEng in Computer Science at the University of Bristol before working at Qualcomm and then at Coremont (Brevan Howard), where Angus led a team building a greenfield trade processing platform that scaled to millions of trades per day.
You will also work closely with the wider engineering team and with the go-to-market team across London, San Francisco, New York, and Munich.

3–6 years of hands-on IT experience in a corporate or startup environment

Experience handling security questionnaires from enterprise customers
Customer-facing SSO configuration experience (SAML/OIDC)
