Oakshed Care, a domiciliary care agency based in Camborne, serves communities throughout West Cornwall. The company is seeking dedicated and compassionate Community Care Workers passionate about making a meaningful impact. This role offers the opportunity to experience fulfilment by bringing joy and comfort to those in care.
Prior experience in care is advantageous but not essential. Comprehensive training is provided to ensure candidates acquire the skills and competencies necessary to deliver the highest standard of care.
Requirements for the role:
Enhanced DBS check
Two satisfactory references
Successful completion of mandatory training
Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
Key Duties
Assist with all aspects of personal care including showering, bathing, oral care, grooming, and dressing
Support toileting and continence needs, including pad changes and skin integrity management
Prepare and serve meals, drinks, and snacks
Assist with feeding and ensure adequate food and drink intake
Support with medication (once competence tested)
Assist with planning and shopping
Complete light household duties, e.g., vacuuming, washing dishes
Accompany service users to health appointments (GP, hospital, dentist)
Provide emotional support and companionship, including fun activities such as card games and films
Accompany on trips and holidays
Support the well-being of pets
