Job Summary

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a highly organised, motivated, and forward-thinking Business Manager to join its Estates & Facilities (E&F) Directorate.

This key leadership role provides high-level administrative, organisational, governance, and coordination support to senior managers, ensuring efficient delivery of high-quality E&F services.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting Soft FM contract-management processes for the Fulham Road Collaborative (FRC).

• Coordinating governance cycles and preparing documentation.

• Maintaining KPIs and compliance data.

• Tracking actions, risks, and supporting financial validation and change-control activities.

• Contributing to lease and property management, including maintaining records and liaising with stakeholders.

• Leading and developing administrative and analyst teams.

• Preparing Board-level and governance papers with audit-ready documentation.

Main Duties

The Business Manager will:

• Lead corporate administration and data-analysis functions.

• Coordinate senior-level reporting and ensure efficient communication across the Directorate.

• Support Soft FM contract management for the Fulham Road Collaborative (FRC).

• Maintain accurate property and lease records and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

• Manage and develop administrative and analyst staff, oversee workload planning, and drive process improvement.

• Prepare high-quality Board and governance papers.

• Work flexibly across Trust sites, participate in the E&F on-call rota, and provide a professional, customer-focused service.

Person Specification

Education & Qualifications

• Essential: Degree-level education in a relevant subject or equivalent specialist experience.

• Desirable: FM management or property law/lease management training.

Experience

• Essential: Relevant Business Management experience.

• Desirable: Operational and staff management experience in the NHS.

Skills

• Essential: Effective communication at all levels, including conveying complex service information.

• Desirable: Excellent written and verbal IT and communication skills.
