Job Summary

Two Assistant Project Manager positions are available within the Design & Construction workstream for the New FPH Programme:
1. Assistant Project Manager (Portfolio Works)
Support capital projects outside the new hospital, including Heatherwood expansion and retained FPH estate.
Assist with design coordination, stakeholder engagement, operational continuity planning, and programme alignment across multiple projects.
Support procurement development through pre-construction and construction phases.
2. Assistant Project Manager (Main Works)
Support design and delivery of the New Hospital Programme.
Work with consultant design teams to coordinate clinical and technical design development.
Ensure alignment with programme, budget, and Building Safety Act requirements.
Goal: Help shape the future of healthcare and leave a lasting legacy.
Main Duties
Provide practical project management support to Project Managers and key team leaders.
Manage less complex projects, developing skills and interests.
Liaise with stakeholders and conduct analysis and data work.
Organise work effectively, prioritising tasks, meeting deadlines, and managing competing priorities.

Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential:
Degree or equivalent experience in project management.
Evidence of continued professional development.
Desirable:
Postgraduate project management qualification or equivalent experience.
Relevant clinical professional registration/qualification.
Experience
Essential:
Coordinating projects in complex and challenging environments.
Successfully delivering project outputs on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Skills & Knowledge
Essential:
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to interpret and present complex information for decision-making.
Ability to work constructively with clinicians and management teams.
Manage workload and competing priorities effectively.
Desirable:
Experience with NHS information, benchmarking data, and hospital information systems.
Understanding of NHS change agenda and national drivers for change.
