Main Duties of the Job
Digital Operations Project Manager Responsibilities:
Design, plan, and deliver digital projects to improve patient care efficiently and cost-effectively.
Champion digital innovation by motivating colleagues to generate and implement ideas.
Support colleagues using standardised digital project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
Ensure robust project planning, timely delivery, and achievement of intended outcomes.
Monitor the realisation of project benefits and embed digital solutions into everyday operational practice.

Job Responsibilities

Design and manage digital transformation and quality improvement projects with clear objectives and measurable outcomes.
Identify, document, and track the realisation of digital operational benefits.
Perform data analysis and evaluation throughout project phases to ensure continuous learning and achievement of project goals.
Implement robust digital project governance, including milestone setting, stakeholder coordination, and timeline management.
Collaborate with internal teams, including IT, business intelligence, and clinical operations, to identify digital innovation opportunities.
Produce project progress reports and presentations for stakeholders including executive boards and operational teams.
Oversee financial management of project resources, optimize budgets, and identify cost efficiencies.
Integrate national and industry-wide digital best practices and emerging technologies.
Maintain strategic relationships with external partners to foster innovation and shared learning.
Promote a culture of continuous digital improvement, enhancing digital literacy and empowering teams to improve patient care.
Person Specification
Essential:
Knowledge of non-elective demand policy and strategies for acute services.
Effective communication with complex matters and situations.
Strong project leadership skills.
Self-motivated with planning and organising skills to manage conflicting priorities.
Commitment to involving patients, families, carers, and staff in service improvements.
Educated to degree level or equivalent.
Desirable:
PRINCE2 or equivalent project management/quality improvement accreditation.
Postgraduate qualification or evidence of postgraduate education.
Experience managing complex, large-scale NHS or public sector projects with multiple stakeholders.
Ability to lead a diverse project team effectively.
