About the Role
Cambridge University Press & Assessment is seeking a proactive, analytically minded Marketing Executive to join the CRM & Data team. The role focuses on delivering high-impact, customer-first communications across the global email channel while supporting best practices across the marketing platform.
The Marketing Executive will develop, execute, and optimise multi-market email programmes in HubSpot, using AI and automation to enhance efficiency, engagement, and personalisation. Compliance, data quality, and cross-team collaboration are key priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Build, schedule, and localise email campaigns with content and regional teams to ensure consistent delivery
Monitor performance metrics (deliverability, engagement, conversions) and maintain efficient operations
Analyse results, identify improvements, and adjust campaigns based on platform changes and audience behaviour
Ensure compliance with global regulations (UK GDPR, PECR, local ePR) and evolving inbox requirements
Maintain accurate subscriber lists and provide clear guidance on legislation and industry changes
Implement segmentation and personalisation strategies, leveraging programmable email and advanced HubSpot features
Optimise automated workflows with automation specialists, including testing, reporting, and content scalability
Collaborate with Portfolio, Events, Regional, Operations, and Digital teams, providing training and updates on AI developments and platform capabilities
Stay current with CRM, email, AI, and automation trends to enhance customer experience and overall strategy
About You
Essential Skills & Experience
Experience delivering email campaigns in a marketing automation platform (HubSpot desirable)
Strong organisational and project management skills across multiple teams
Comfortable working with data, compliance, and regulations with attention to accuracy
Customer-first mindset paired with analytical skills to drive continuous improvement
Desirable Skills
Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
Awareness of digital marketing regulations (PECR, GDPR, EU AI Act, EEA)
