Job Summary

Whittington Hospital NHS Trust is looking for an experienced IT Service Desk Manager to join the team. The key responsibility for this role is to provide high profile leadership and management for the engineers and support staff in the team, and to lead on the recruitment, appraisal and development of the staff. You will also be expected to manage the performance of the service desk, continuously reviewing service quality, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction, while ensuring the delivery of a first-class IT support service to the Trust.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide high profile leadership and management to the engineers and support staff in the IT Service Desk team.
  • Deliver a first-class IT support service for the Trust, with high levels of technology capability and availability.
  • Plan services contributing to the Trusts Information Management and Technology Strategy.
  • Deliver resolution to complex IT issues and problems.
  • Effective management and co-ordination of issues and incidents.
  • Collaboration with colleagues within IM&T team and beyond in delivery of a quality service.
  • Recruitment, development and retention of service desk staff.
