Job Overview

Lots of Care is seeking an experienced and compassionate Home Care Assistant to join their domiciliary care team. The role involves providing person-centred care to clients in their own homes, supporting daily living needs, and enhancing clients’ quality of life.

The ideal candidate is reliable, professional, and genuinely committed to delivering outstanding care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.

• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.

• Support mobility and transfers.

• Administer medication as per individual care plans.

• Assist with light housekeeping tasks.

• Accompany clients to appointments and social activities.

• Monitor and report changes in clients’ health or well-being.

• Ensure a safe and comfortable home environment for clients.

• Maintain accurate care records and report any changes or concerns.

• Adhere to safeguarding, health & safety, and company policies.

• Build positive, trusting relationships with clients, families, and colleagues.

Requirements

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a domiciliary care setting in the UK (essential)

Skills & Qualities:

• Fluent in spoken and written English (essential)

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Caring, patient, and reliable with a positive attitude

• Flexible and able to work independently

Essential Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel locally

• Right to work in the UK

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
