Job Summary
Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the Programme Management Office (PMO). This role is central to delivering the Healthier Futures Programme at Leighton Hospital, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned to strategic objectives.
The Project Manager will provide robust project management and governance support across multiple workstreams, maintaining compliance with organisational standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
The Project Manager will:
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
Oversee business case development in line with HM Treasury Green Book, NHSE, and NHP guidance standards.
Monitor project progress, escalate risks, and facilitate governance meetings.
Produce high-quality reports and dashboards for senior stakeholders.
Manage interdependencies across multiple projects and workstreams.
Drive stakeholder engagement and communication strategies.
Champion continuous improvement and best practice in project management.

Person Specification
Qualifications & Knowledge
Essential:
Educated to HND level or equivalent experience
Formal Project Management or governance qualification
Proven project or programme management experience within a PMO
Strong understanding of governance frameworks, risk management, and assurance processes
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Desirable:
Better Business Case Foundation Certificate
Experience managing suppliers, contractors, and consultants
Knowledge of healthcare transformation programmes or NHS projects
