Job Summary
The post holder will be a key member of the Capital finance team. They will work as part of a team to ensure the effective use of the Trust’s Capital.
Main Duties of the Job
Main duties of the role include:
- To maintain the fixed asset register.
- To ensure that the register is kept up to date on a monthly basis and that all relevant entries are made both to the fixed asset register and the general ledger.
- To ensure that all accounting for assets in the course of production is up to date and correct.
- To work alongside the individual responsible for cash flow reporting to feed in data regarding fixed asset transaction inflows and outflows.
- To prepare budgets and forecasts for depreciation and profit and loss on sale of fixed assets.
- To work with the treasury team to ensure that cash flows for capital projects are forecast as accurately as possible.
- To ensure that the year-end requirements for a complete and fully referenced file of fixed asset additions, disposals, depreciation and donated assets is prepared and available for auditing within 4 weeks of the year
- To ensure that the statutory accounts fixed assets note is prepared, referenced back to year end working papers and explained satisfactorily to the external auditors.
- To work with the Projects team to reconcile orders raised with spend made on the general ledger.
