SRP (UK) Limited is a growing UK-based accountancy and payroll firm providing services including bookkeeping, VAT, payroll, and year-end accounts to a wide range of clients. Due to continued growth, SRP (UK) Limited is looking to hire a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join the team in the London office.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping
- Process purchase and sales invoices
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Assist with VAT return preparation and submissions
- Support payroll processing (training provided if required)
- Prepare basic financial reports and assist with month-end tasks
- Liaise with clients for missing information and queries
- Assist senior accountants with year-end accounts preparation
Requirements
- Previous experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role (preferred but not essential)
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles
- Familiarity with software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage (advantageous)
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Right to work in the UK OR eligible for sponsorship
