SRP (UK) Limited is a growing UK-based accountancy and payroll firm providing services including bookkeeping, VAT, payroll, and year-end accounts to a wide range of clients. Due to continued growth, SRP (UK) Limited is looking to hire a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join the team in the London office.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping
• Process purchase and sales invoices
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Assist with VAT return preparation and submissions
• Support payroll processing (training provided if required)
• Prepare basic financial reports and assist with month-end tasks
• Liaise with clients for missing information and queries
• Assist senior accountants with year-end accounts preparation

Requirements

• Previous experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role (preferred but not essential)
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles
• Familiarity with software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage (advantageous)
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Good communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Right to work in the UK OR eligible for sponsorship
