Job Summary
Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is seeking a Digital Support and Project Officer to provide first-line support across all local and national IT systems. The role involves handling complex or sensitive information on IM&T matters, providing implementation support for new system updates, and assisting in project planning.
Fluency in Welsh is desirable but not required; applications from both Welsh and English speakers are welcome.

Main Duties
Digital Support
Provide first-line support across local and national systems
Deliver training, guidance, and advice to staff on complex or sensitive systems and processes
Assist the Implementation Team Manager during major system go-lives
Identify weaknesses or additional support needs and address them effectively
Project Support
Assist the Project Management Office with business analysis for new project requests
Meet with stakeholders to develop comprehensive project briefs
Ensure standard project management methodologies are applied during implementations
Administration & Policy
Contribute to policy and procedure development for digital systems
Support accurate documentation and reporting for all systems and projects
Person Specification
Essential Qualifications & Experience
Support qualification, diploma, or equivalent relevant experience
Significant experience providing IT support and project assistance
Proven track record in support, project, and change management
Proficient in IT systems: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
Expert knowledge of local and national Health Board and Welsh Government systems (RTT rules)
Project management experience, including benefits realisation
Experience interacting with managers, clinicians, and service users professionally
Skills & Competencies
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to handle sensitive and complex information
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Additional Requirements
DBS disclosure required
Skilled Worker sponsorship available for eligible applicants
Criminal record certificates required for applicants residing outside the UK in the past 10 years
