Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Support Manager to join our team on a full time, permanent basis.
Cheshire and Merseyside Provider Collaborative is a collaborative of all NHS Trusts in Cheshire Merseyside, serving a population of 2.5 million across nine Places. CMPC members work together on a number of priority programmes with the aim of delivering benefits of scale and mutual aid across multiple places.
The Project Support Manager will support CMPC to deliver their corporate objectives and portfolio, including responsibilities in any relationships or activities the team leaders may participate in across the local or national health system. The postholder will oversee the wider CMPC administration team, including taking personal responsibility for delegated projects and business.
Main Duties of the Job

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring programmes and projects run smoothly which will include including planning, co-ordination, and delivery, ensuring delivery within agreed timescales, risks are identified and managed, and benefits are realised.
The post holder will work closely with the Managing Director of CMPC and the CMPC Leadership Team.
The post holder will provide regular information and updates on the progress of programmes and projects to key stakeholders.
The post holder will be responsive and innovative in meeting performance and quality targets/standards.
The post holder will be responsible for a wide range of communications on behalf of CMPC, and must at all times promote sensitivity and tact, and respect confidentiality to ensure these are effective.
The post holder will be expected to exercise initiative, prioritise conflicting work demands and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with the multi-disciplinary team, internal departments, and external partners to ensure continuity in achieving excellent patient care.

Specialist Regional Services
Providing the Mersey Regional Burns & Plastic Surgery Unit at Whiston Hospital and the Spinal Injuries Unit at Southport Hospital to more than 4 million people across the whole of Merseyside, West Lancashire, Cheshire, Isle of Man and North Wales.

Job Description
Key Duties
Utilising effective change management, people management and project management skills to support programmes and projects across CMPC.
To champion transformational change which enables the implementation projects and supporting organisational and stakeholder changes.
Providing support to enable services to develop a project management approach within projects.
Contribute to and support the implementation of service redesign to support current and future business requirements.
Analyse and use performance management data supported by business intelligence models to inform and improve service delivery.
Participate in process reviews to develop streamline processes and ensure they are effective.
Co-ordination of the allocation of workload both internally and externally.
Project Management Responsibilities
To support the CMPC Managing Director in the overall management of the programmes in accordance with the agreed programme plan including development, implementation, and performance review.
To ensure that programme/project documentation are maintained and kept up to date.
Plan and facilitate meetings and workshop events.
Provide practical support to key stakeholders.
Interpret and translate the outcome from meetings and workshops, communicating these to the teams and others as required.
Liaise directly with key stakeholders to ensure that agreed actions are implemented.
Recognise and utilise the strengths of others with complementary skills.
Professional Responsibilities
Work with managers and colleagues to continually improve the quality of services within the overall governance framework.
Work with managers and colleagues to identify, manage and minimise risk within the trusts Risk Management Framework.
Contribute and support the implementation of service redesign to support current and future business requirements.
Support the transition of new programmes and projects within CMPC.
Exercise delegated authority from and support the team, to resolve day to day issues.
Maintain own continual learning/ development.
Administrative / Line Management Responsibilities
Effectively lead the Project Support Officer team that provide a range of services across CMPC.
Ensure all staff managed receive individual appraisals in line with Trust policy, including formulation of personal development plans (PDPs), and that identified training and personal development are progressed.
Participate in the recruitment and selection of staff.
Responsible for initial stages of disciplinary procedures, personal development, management of sickness absence and allocation of responsibilities of staff.
Motivate, encourage, and engage teams and individuals to achieve and embrace organisational objectives, Key performance indicators and new ways of working.
Maintain and seek to improve communication channels with stakeholders even where substance of the communication may be difficult or contentious.
Coordinate planned absence across team, to ensure there is appropriate administrative support for the programmes.

Qualifications
Essential
Degree level qualification and/or equivalent qualification and/or equivalent experience
Evidence of further study and professional development to post graduate diploma level or equivalent experience
Management, professional or other recognised academic or vocational qualification

Data analyst qualification or equivalent experience
