Personal Care Assistants will support clients in their own homes, providing companionship, practical assistance, and personal care where required.

Key Responsibilities

Personal Care Assistants at GoodOaks Homecare will:

• Provide warm companionship and meaningful conversation

• Support clients with daily household tasks

• Carry out light housekeeping, including cleaning, laundry, and ironing

• Prepare meals and assist with cooking

• Run local errands such as food shopping and collecting prescriptions

• Provide personal care support where required

• Offer medication reminders where required

• Accompany clients to appointments and social activities

Person Specification

Suitable candidates will demonstrate the following:

• A naturally caring personality with a reliable work ethic

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Good organisational and time-management abilities

• A professional, respectful, and trustworthy approach

• Comfort with household tasks and personal care duties

• A full UK driving licence with access to a car

• Ability to pass a DBS check

• The right to work in the UK

Pay, Hours, and Benefits

Pay and Working Hours

• £12.90 – £14.00 per hour

• 35p per mile travel allowance

• Expected working hours: 7 – 37.5 hours per week

• Day, evening, and weekend shifts available
