Job Overview
Arelle Daley Electronics Ltd is seeking a friendly and professional Customer Assistant to join the team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, assist shoppers, and ensure a positive shopping experience.
Fluency in multiple languages such as English and Spanish is highly desirable to support a diverse customer base. Organisational skills, effective communication, and a proactive attitude are essential to succeed in this role.
Key Duties
Greet customers warmly and offer assistance throughout their shopping journey
Provide product information and answer customer queries accurately
Upsell products and promote ongoing promotions to maximise sales opportunities
Maintain visual merchandising standards to ensure attractive product displays
Operate the cash register efficiently, handling transactions professionally
Manage stock levels, restock shelves, and organise products for easy access
Communicate effectively with customers over the phone or via email
Assist in organising store layouts and promotional events to enhance the shopping environment
Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the sales floor at all times
Support team members during busy periods to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
Experience & Skills
Previous experience in retail or customer service is advantageous but not essential; full training provided
Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is a plus
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively
Ability to work well within a team and independently when required
Familiarity with merchandising principles and upselling techniques is beneficial
Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse customers effectively
