Job Overview

Hillview Care Services is seeking a Home and Community Care Worker to support clients living independently at home. The role involves assisting with daily activities to maintain quality of life and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Personal care: bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting

• General housework and meal preparation

• Administering medication when required

• Providing emotional support and companionship

• Engaging clients in activities to promote mental and physical stimulation

• Supporting hospital discharges

• Assisting with mobility, including transferring to/from beds, wheelchairs, or other mobility aids

Essential Criteria

• Confident and effective communication skills

• Caring, compassionate, and patient nature

• Punctual and reliable, able to work to a strict timetable

• Adaptable to changing situations

• Self-motivated and able to work independently

Desirable Criteria

• Clean and valid UK driving licence with access to a car

• Ability to travel within Edinburgh, Mid-Lothian, and East Renfrewshire

• Preferably female candidates, as per client requests

• Full training provided
