Are you looking for flexible tuition that works around your schedule? At Sherpa you can tutor online, setting your own availability and charging the rates you decide.

Priority will be given to tutors who have a current enhanced DBS, although you can apply for one via Sherpa.

Sherpa Online is currently experiencing an unprecedented demand for 1:1 private tuition across senior schools years, especially GCSE’s and A-Levels and is expanding its network of qualified tutors. Qualified UK teachers and experienced tutors are being sought to support students in improving their grades and confidence, specifically within GCSE’s or A-Level’s.

All subjects will be considered, but demand for Maths, English, Economics, Business Studies, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, , Politics, Geography, History, Computing and Languages are especially in demand.

Responsibilities

• Develop tailored lesson plans based on the student’s needs, learning pace, and curriculum requirements

• Tutor in subject-specific material clearly and engagingly, ensuring the student understands key concepts and skills.

• Provide regular assessments to track progress, offer constructive feedback and address any gaps in knowledge.

• Help the student prepare for exams by reviewing past papers, practicing problem-solving, and teaching exam strategies.

• Foster a positive, supportive learning environment, helping the student stay motivated and confident.

• Keep parents informed of the student’s progress and areas for improvement, offering guidance on how they can support learning at home.
