Unparalleled Education is seeking a dedicated GCSE Tutor to provide specialised academic support to students preparing for their General Certificate of Secondary Education examinations. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching, excellent communication skills, and experience working with children or young learners.

Duties

• Deliver personalised GCSE tutoring sessions across various subjects, including Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography and English, tailoring lessons to meet individual student needs and learning styles.
• Assess students’ current understanding and identify areas for improvement to develop effective study plans.
• Support students in developing exam techniques, time management skills, and confidence to excel in their assessments.
• Monitor progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to students and parents or guardians.
• Create engaging lesson plans that incorporate diverse teaching methods and resources to enhance learning experiences.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and lesson content for reporting purposes.
• Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation, motivation, and self-confidence.

Skills

• Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably with GCSE students or in a secondary education setting.
• Strong communication skills to clearly explain complex concepts and engage learners effectively.
• Experience working with children or young learners, demonstrating patience and adaptability.
• Knowledge of special education needs (SEN) is desirable but not essential; ability to adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
• Excellent organisational skills to plan lessons, track progress, and manage multiple students efficiently.
• Ability to motivate students, build rapport, and foster a supportive classroom atmosphere focused on achievement.
