Job Overview
We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support a growing business across two Ltd companies. This is an in person role, during office hours (9-5).
Work spans marketing services and influencer management, meaning you’ll be working across a mix of retainers, project work, and campaign-based income. This is a hands-on role where accuracy, organisation, and consistency are key.
The Bookkeeper will work closely with the internal team and liaise regularly with external accountants to ensure everything is running smoothly, compliant, and up to date.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing invoicing across two limited companies, including chasing outstanding payments (credit control)
- Raising and processing supplier bills
- Managing day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including data entry and transaction recording
- Processing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections (via Apron)
- Managing weekly supplier payment runs
- Reconciling bank accounts and ensuring all records are accurate and up to date
- Maintaining purchase and sales ledgers, including regular reconciliation
- Maintaining accurate financial records within Xero
- Preparing internal financial reports, including profit & loss reporting
- Supporting month-end and year-end processes
- Liaising with external accountants and supporting audit requirements where needed
- Maintaining organised filing systems for financial documents and correspondence
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and occasional financial analysis

About You
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper
- Strong working knowledge of Xero (essential)
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
- Experience managing accounts payable and receivable
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working across multiple entities
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- A proactive, reliable, and solutions-focused approach
- A qualification in accounting or finance is a bonus, not essential
Working Pattern
- Approx. 16 hours per week
- Office-based in Bromsgrove
- Flexible working structure (to be agreed. Ideally 3-4 days per week)
