Overview
Tehidy Woods Cafe is seeking a reliable, punctual and enthusiastic part-time Kitchen Assistant to join the growing team at the busy cafe in Tehidy Woods in early March 2026.
This role offers a great opportunity to gain valuable working experience in a friendly but busy cafe environment.
Working Hours
Typical 12 hours per week across two days
Currently Tuesdays and Wednesdays
9.15am–3.15pm
Start date: Early March 2026
While weekend working is not essential, cover for staff holiday and sickness may be required, which may include weekends.
Regular additional hours may be available during busier periods, for example school holidays.
Role Summary
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be an essential part of the small cafe team, supporting food preparation during busy periods and ensuring a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Responsibilities include preparing a simple yet tasty menu of:
Breakfast rolls
Waffle stacks
Granola bowls
Toasties
The role requires commitment to upholding high standards of food safety and hygiene.
No prior experience is necessary as full training can be provided, including a Level 2 qualification in Food Hygiene. However, strong time management skills, communication skills, punctuality and reliability are essential.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must be at least 16 years old to apply
Applicants must be available to work the hours of 9.15am–3.15pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
