About the Role
AL Neurodevelopment is a specialist service led by a neurodevelopment practitioner, supporting children and families with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in Southampton, Hampshire.
This role supports both the practitioner and a small team of tutors and mentors. The focus is on clear communication, high-quality content, and practical resources for parents navigating complex systems.
This is not a general administrative role. It requires strong writing, independent thinking, and the ability to explain complex topics simply.
Key Responsibilities
Content & Communication
- Write clear, structured content explaining services, SEN processes, and support options
- Create parent-facing materials (guides, booklets, EHCP support resources)
- Respond to parent enquiries via email in a professional manner
- Translate complex information into practical, easy-to-understand guidance
Outreach & Marketing
- Manage and grow presence on social media and professional platforms
- Write and publish LinkedIn articles
- Promote services in relevant online communities and local networks
- Create marketing materials (flyers, posters, adverts, billboards)
Digital & Systems
- Update website content and resources
- Ensure consistency across platforms
- Maintain organised communication and content systems

Requirements
Minimum
- Excellent written English
- Ability to simplify complex information
- Comfortable creating basic visuals (e.g., Canva)
- Reliable, organised, and responsive
Preferred
- Understanding of SEN, EHCPs, or education systems
- Experience writing informational or educational content
- Basic website editing skills
What You’ll Be Supporting
- A neurodevelopment practitioner working directly with children and families
- A small, focused team of tutors and mentors
- The creation of resources that directly impact parents’ understanding and decisions
Role Details
- Location: Remote / Flexible (Southampton-based service)
- Weekly team meetings: In person in Southampton
- Hours: Minimum 5 hours per week
- Pay: Starting at £15/hr, with clear progression based on performance and output
