About the Role
GoodOaks Homecare Bedford is looking for compassionate and reliable Care Assistants to provide high-quality visiting care to clients in their own homes across Bedford.
This is a community-based role supporting older adults and vulnerable people to live independently, safely and comfortably at home.
Whether you have previous care experience or are new to care, paid training and ongoing support are provided to help you succeed.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Care Assistant, you will:
Provide companionship and meaningful social interaction
Support with daily routines and light household tasks
Assist with meal preparation and hydration
Support with personal care where required (bathing, dressing, grooming)
Prompt and monitor medication
Accompany clients to appointments or social activities
Help maintain a safe and comfortable home environment
Visits are structured to allow time to deliver person-centred care properly.

A valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential)
Right to work in the UK (required)
No previous experience is necessary — full paid training is provided.
Hours Available
GoodOaks Homecare Bedford offers a range of contract options including:
Morning shifts (7:00am – 3:00pm)
Evening shifts (2:00pm – 10:00pm)
Alternate weekends
Both guaranteed hours and flexible contracts available
