About Waterloo House
Waterloo House is a residential care home in Market Rasen for elderly people. Waterloo House also caters for residents that have a diagnosis of dementia or individuals that require similar support needs.

As a Care Assistant at Waterloo House, the role involves helping residents enjoy each day by making sure they get the quality care and support they deserve. About You
To join as a Care Assistant, ideally (but not necessary) some experience of caring for people is required, along with a can-do approach and excellent communication skills. Empathy and a warm-hearted approach are essential, alongside the compassion needed to deliver the highest standard of care and support for all residents. All necessary training will be provided.
Skills Required
Care assistants need excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all kinds of people in situations which can be stressful or emotionally draining.
More specifically:
A friendly approach and the ability to put clients at ease, whatever their physical or social needs
The ability to be tactful and sensitive at all times
A good sense of humour
Respect for the residents and their families
A high level of patience as shifts can be long and often stressful
A good knowledge of basic health care and hygiene standards
Excellent communication skills
A responsible and flexible attitude to residents and the job
Manual dexterity and a certain level of physical strength
Good stamina
The ability to stay calm under pressure
A commitment to the job, the client and their families
The ability to think quickly and solve problems as they arrive

Great starting rates for Care Assistant (No NVQ)
Much higher rates for:
Care Assistant (NVQ 2)
Care Assistant (NVQ 3)
Senior Carer
