Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Junior Sales Executive to actively support and grow sales of software solutions in the UK market. This is a “learn and do” role where hands-on sales activity is combined with structured learning, taking real responsibility for opportunities while developing skills under the guidance of experienced sales professionals.

Job Role & Responsibilities
The primary focus will be to contribute to revenue generation while continuously learning and developing towards a full Technical Sales role. Close collaboration with senior sales colleagues will allow gradual ownership of opportunities while gaining deep understanding of products, customers, and the fenestration industry.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting and lead generation: Research and identify potential customers within the fenestration supply chain (system companies, glass suppliers, fabricators, installers) and qualify basic opportunities
Sales outreach: Make initial contact with prospects via email, phone, LinkedIn, and events, following agreed messaging and adapting as learning progresses
Discovery and needs analysis: Participate in discovery calls, initially shadowing senior staff, then gradually leading conversations to understand customer workflows, challenges, and software needs
Demo delivery: Help prepare and deliver online product demos, starting with supporting roles (note-taking, Q&A follow-up) and progressing to running standard demos independently
Proposal preparation: Assist in preparing quotations, proposals, and commercial documents, ensuring accuracy of pricing and scope while learning commercial rules
CRM management: Keep the CRM up to date with contacts, activities, notes, and pipeline stages, ensuring data quality for forecasting and reporting
Follow-up and nurturing: Carry out structured follow-ups after demos, events, and campaigns, sharing information, booking next steps, and keeping opportunities moving
Territory management: Gradually take ownership of a territory segment, or specific vertical markets as skills develop
Collaboration: Work with marketing, technical, and support teams to gather information for prospects, provide feedback from the market, and help refine messaging
Reporting: Provide regular updates on activities, pipeline, wins/losses, and learning progress to the Sales Manager
Learn-and-Do Development
In this role you will:
Learn sales methodology, industry knowledge, and product capability through coaching, shadowing, and formal training
Apply learning immediately in live sales situations, with support and constructive feedback
Gradually progress from supporting senior salespeople to managing opportunities and closing deals
Develop confidence in handling objections, conducting basic negotiations (within agreed parameters), and closing deals
Build expertise in the fenestration industry and become a trusted advisor to customers
Required Skills & Experience
Strong interest in sales and technology, with a genuine desire to build a career in B2B software sales
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and confident manner on the phone, online, and in person
Proactive, self-starting attitude with ability to take initiative and work independently when required
Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple opportunities and follow-ups simultaneously
Resilience and positive mindset when facing rejection or setbacks
Good analytical skills with ability to understand customer requirements and match them to solutions
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems
Willingness to travel occasionally for customer visits, events, or trade shows within territory
Full UK driving license
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (2:1 or above) in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, OR currently pursuing a degree with expected graduation within 12 months
Strong academic record demonstrating ability to learn complex information quickly
Evidence of achievement in academic, sporting, or extracurricular activities
Desirable Experience & Qualifications
Previous experience in customer-facing roles (retail, hospitality, customer service, or internships)
Any prior exposure to sales, business development, or the fenestration/construction/manufacturing sector
Experience using CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, or similar)
Understanding of the B2B sales process or enterprise software
Knowledge of the fenestration, glazing, or construction industry
Second language skills (particularly European languages)
Previous experience presenting or public speaking
