Role Overview

KFM Consultants is seeking a Virtual Marketing Assistant with strong knowledge of the NGO and international development sector to support lead generation, outreach, and relationship tracking with international funding agencies, foundations, and development partners.

This role is not about high-volume digital marketing. It is about structured, credible, and relationship-based outreach aligned to how funders and donors engage with organisations.

Key Responsibilities

The Virtual Marketing Assistant will:

• Identify and research international funding agencies, foundations, and development partners

• Support lead generation and pipeline tracking using CRM or structured tracking tools

• Manage email and LinkedIn outreach, ensuring messaging is appropriate for funder audiences

• Track responses, conversations, and follow-ups in an organised and consistent manner

• Support preparation and distribution of targeted marketing and outreach content

• Produce basic reports on outreach activity, engagement, and pipeline status

• Maintain accurate records of contacts, interactions, and next steps

Essential Knowledge & Experience

Applicants must demonstrate:

• Knowledge of NGOs, charities, or international development organisations

• Understanding of how international funding agencies and donors operate

• Experience with relationship-based outreach, not mass marketing

• Familiarity with CRM systems or structured lead-tracking processes

• Strong written communication skills, particularly in professional and donor-facing contexts

• High attention to detail and ability to manage follow-ups consistently
