Job Overview
Paul & Mathew Hospitality Limited is seeking an experienced and dynamic Front of House Manager to lead a hospitality team in delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong management skills, a passion for food and beverage service, and proven restaurant operations experience. The role involves overseeing daily front-of-house operations, supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a welcoming guest environment. Experience in casual dining, fine dining, or hospitality management is highly valued.
The Front of House Manager will play a key role in maintaining operational excellence and fostering a positive team culture.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service delivery
- Oversee food preparation, presentation, and service standards
- Manage POS systems for order processing and cash handling
- Conduct staff training on food safety, customer service, and operational procedures
- Monitor inventory control and assist with food management to reduce waste and control costs
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally
- Manage shift scheduling and staffing during peak hours
- Maintain cleanliness and compliance with health regulations in dining areas
- Assist with hiring, interviewing, and onboarding new team members
- Collaborate with kitchen teams on food production, catering, banquet events, and bar services
- Ensure food safety and sanitation compliance across front-of-house operations
- Support budgeting and monitor front-of-house operational expenses
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management (casual or fine dining preferred)
- Strong leadership skills with staff training, supervision, and team development experience
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS
- Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures
- Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills
- Experience in inventory control, catering, and banquet services preferred
- Ability to manage shift schedules while maintaining service standards
- Kitchen or culinary experience is an advantage but not mandatory
- Strong communication skills for training, interviewing, and team motivation
- Hospitality or hotel background is a plus
