This role is ideal for someone looking to join a small, specialised team focused on high-impact social media and content creation.
Role Overview
The Social Media Assistant will join the founder’s personal social media team. This part-time contractor role involves 10–14 hours per week and is fully remote.
The position suits a creative individual passionate about social media. Candidates may have a personal social media presence or prior experience helping a brand or founder grow their accounts.
Day-to-day responsibilities include content ideation, video editing, carousel creation, caption writing, and posting content to enhance Unearth PR’s visibility. No prior professional experience is required; self-taught creators with a strong portfolio are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Execute the founder’s social media strategy across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube
Ideate new social content concepts weekly
Scriptwriting for video posts
Edit social content, including short-form videos and carousel posts
Write captions and in-post text
Support scheduling and uploads across platforms
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate:
Has an in-depth understanding of short-form video platforms including TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
Stays on top of trending video styles and marketing moments
Has personal or professional experience with video editing tools like CapCut, Instagram Edits, or TikTok Studio
Possesses excellent written communication skills
Is confident contributing ideas and asking questions
Is organised with strong time management skills, able to work independently and meet deadlines
