About the Role
Smartgrade prioritises human interactions in customer service, even as AI is used across other parts of the business. The Customer Support Associate role focuses on providing clear communication and guidance to ensure schools get the most from the product.
Key responsibilities include:
- Respond to inbound email, telephone, and live chat customer support and sales queries
- Play a proactive role in onboarding new schools
- Draft and update help articles
- Support administration and operational tasks, such as preparing assessments and managing spreadsheets
- Learn about school assessment and EdTech startups
- Become proficient in using Zendesk (support) and Pipedrive (CRM)
- Work flexibly and remotely
- Opportunities to progress into product, customer success, or sales roles
About You
The ideal candidate is:
- Patient, smart, energetic, and friendly
- Flexible and able to wear multiple hats
- Excellent in oral and written communication
- Keen to learn about school assessment and EdTech startups
- Based in the UK and a graduate with a 2:1 or above
Experience in schools or customer support is beneficial but not essential. Smartgrade welcomes career switchers and first-time full-time candidates.
