Main Duties of the Job
The Procurement Business Officer will support the Procurement Business Manager in providing professional procurement services to Public Health Wales. Key responsibilities include:
Contributing to the development and achievement of team objectives.
Supporting operational procurement tasks to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Engaging with stakeholders to maintain effective working relationships.
Additional Notes:
Speaking Welsh is desirable, though both Welsh and English speakers are welcome.
This is a fixed-term post for 24 months to meet service needs.

Qualifications & Knowledge
Essential:
Qualified to CIPS Level 4 / NVQ 2/3 or equivalent experience
5 GCSEs grade C and above, including Maths & English, or equivalent experience
Desirable:
Tendering and specification writing

Essential:
Excellent interpersonal skills
Proven ability to use Microsoft products
Desirable:
Ability to work positively as part of a team
Ability to analyse and interpret complex data sets
Ability to work to deadlines
Experience

Proven ability to establish and enhance effective working relationships with stakeholders
Knowledge of professional purchasing principles via NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Certificate in Procurement and Supply
Knowledge of contract law acquired through short courses and experience
