Full Job Description
Home Instead are looking for someone experienced, compassionate and friendly to visit our clients in Bakewell on a part-time basis. We have visits between 7am – 10pm (alternate weekends required).
We know that top-quality care can’t be rushed, which is why we don’t offer short visits – all of our visits are at least 1 hour long – we allow you to focus on giving people the time and attention they deserve.
We will take time to develop your knowledge and experience, giving you full training for this role and introducing you to your clients – we will never throw you in at the deep end.

Responsibilities
- Assist with household tasks like cleaning, tidying, and laundry.
- Prepare meals or assist with cooking your client’s favourite dishes.
- Offer companionship by engaging in hobbies and spending quality time together.
- Support with personal care, including showering, dressing, and getting ready for bed.
- Keep accurate records and report any concerns following company guidelines.
- Administer medication and document accordingly.
- Promote independence by supporting clients in following their routine and making their own choices.
Requirements
- Experience is not necessary, but any care background, be it professional or personal, is advantageous.
- Must drive and have your own car.
- You must be reliable and punctual to ensure we can continue to provide an excellent service to our clients.
- Must have a caring, friendly personality and be confident in making conversation.
- Must be able to attend training at the Leek office.
