Job Summary

Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Marketing Lead to develop, own, and deliver a comprehensive, insight-led marketing strategy for NHS LPP. The role operates under the direction of the Head of Business Performance and in partnership with the NoE CPC Marketing Team, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives, values, and long-term priorities.

The Senior Marketing Lead will act as the strategic marketing advisor to the NHS LPP Executive Team and Steering Board, providing counsel on brand positioning, audience segmentation, market trends, stakeholder engagement, and reputational risk.

This role includes leading integrated marketing campaigns, structured programmes, and targeted ad hoc activities with measurable impact on engagement, adoption, reputation, and organisational growth.

The postholder will also provide strategic oversight of brand management, safeguarding and evolving the NHS LPP brand across all channels, platforms, and stakeholder touchpoints, while clearly communicating NHS LPP’s value proposition as a clinically led, progressive, and trusted procurement partner.

  • Lead and deliver a comprehensive marketing strategy supporting NHS LPP’s strategic objectives.

  • Provide expert leadership on internal and external marketing, media management, digital channels, and campaigns.

  • Oversee brand development and marketing alignment for new services, commercial propositions, partnerships, and digital initiatives.

  • Develop and lead marketing activity to optimise business performance with existing members, the NHS, and the wider public sector.

About NHS LPP

NHS LPP has been hosted by Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust since 2012, providing the legal framework and supporting services under which NHS LPP operates. NHS LPP is a membership organisation funded and governed by its members, and NHS LPP staff are employed by GSTT.

NHS LPP manages collaborative procurement projects for acute, community, and mental health trusts, as well as CCGs, both in London and beyond. The organisation continues to develop as a centre of commercial excellence, delivering sustainable cost and service improvements for stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Professional qualification (Chartered Institute of Marketing) and significant senior-level marketing experience in public sector, health, or similarly complex organisations.

  • Evidence of continuing professional development.

Experience

  • Essential: Knowledge of NHS structures, values, and communication styles.

  • Essential: Proven success in developing and delivering strategic marketing plans.

  • Essential: Expertise in brand management, campaign leadership, digital strategy, and audience segmentation.

  • Desirable: Experience in budget management and managing teams or external agencies.
