Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Support Manager to join the growing team at Health Technology Wales (HTW). HTW is funded by Welsh Government and hosted by Velindre University NHS Trust.
The purpose of HTW is to identify, appraise, promote, enable and measure the adoption of health technologies across NHS Wales, linking into national agendas for innovation and prudent healthcare. HTW appraises the effectiveness and cost effectiveness of non-medicine health technologies in Wales, working with, but independently, of NHS Wales.
HTW is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Project Support Manager on a permanent basis. This role offers an opportunity to assist the development of medical technology guidance by monitoring projects on a day-to-day basis, supporting key stages of the appraisal process and liaising with relevant stakeholder groups.
This is a hybrid working position which is predominantly home-based with the benefit of an office base in Cardiff. Flexible working, part time or job share arrangements will be considered. English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main Duties of the Job
This dynamic, fast-paced role sits at the heart of HTW’s project management function. Working closely with the Project Manager and Senior Programme Manager, responsibilities include:
Maintaining accurate documentation
Supporting key processes
Ensuring high-quality information is available for reporting to Velindre University NHS Trust and Welsh Government
Acting as first point of contact for internal and external enquiries
Providing professional, high level administrative support
Playing an active role in project planning and delivery
Assisting the Project Manager with workstream planning, monitoring and reporting
Applicants must demonstrate excellent organisational and time management skills and sound judgement in dealing with internal and external stakeholders. Strong project management skills are essential, and experience of MS Project would be an advantage. Experience of working in the NHS is highly beneficial.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
